Graph Paper
Printable Graph Paper
Use this graph paper for when you want to practice your space planning skills and want to draw things to scale.
Please keep in mind that if printed out at 100% each square measures approximately 1/2″ inch and could be used as 1/2″ = 1′ scale. But I recommend just using each square on the graph as representing one square foot in actual size.
The pdf file is one page.
This graph paper goes well with the interior design exercise as part of my video “Learn What To Scale Means” on my YouTube channel.
Living Furniture Layout Exercise
The following design exercise goes with my video “Interior Design Exercise – Creating a Symmetrically Balanced Living Room Furniture Arrangement” that I recommend watching first, and then you can download this printable exercise to practice your space planning skills.
Printable Space Planning Download with Floor Plan & Furniture
After you printout the floor plan and furniture, you can cut-out the furniture and then place that on the floor plan to create different layouts. Please note this is just a space plan for practice, and that the floor plan and furniture are in scale with one another, but that there is not an overall specific scale for this design exercise.
Bonus tip: Feel free to color-in the floor plan and furniture in colors that would reflect the look and feel that you would like to bring to this room.
The pdf file is three pages and it includes a floor plan, selection of furniture, and a photo of the room.
